St. Teresa of Kolkata Church, Paldane is a vibrant Catholic parish built on faith, unity, and devotion to Christ.

Formation of Paldane Parish

The parish was established to provide spiritual care and pastoral support to Catholic families in and around Paldane, fostering a strong and united faith community.

Foundation & Land Purchase (2004)

After consultations with parish leaders and representatives, the proposal to establish a new church at Paldane was approved to serve Catholic families in the region.

Around one and a half acres of land was purchased and registered on 19th March 2004. On the same day, the foundation stone was laid by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza.

Dedication to Blessed Teresa of Kolkata

The church was dedicated to Blessed Teresa of Kolkata, reflecting the devotion and wishes of the faithful.

Construction was completed through the dedicated efforts of parishioners, donors, and benefactors, marking a significant milestone in the parish’s history.

Parish Timeline

April 2006 – Grand Preparations

Extensive preparations were made for the inauguration, with committees formed and parishioners working together to ensure a meaningful celebration.

24th April 2006 – Inauguration

The church was blessed and inaugurated by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza, followed by a thanksgiving Mass attended by clergy and faithful.

13th August 2006 – Parish Declared Independent

A decree formally declared Paldane Church an independent parish, serving approximately 250 Catholic families at the time.

Today – A Growing Faith Community

The parish continues to grow in faith and unity, serving the spiritual needs of the faithful in Paldane and surrounding areas.
